According to the National Library of Medicine, sober houses are a valuable living arrangement for those newly sober. It provides people a transitional period so that they can get used to living without drugs or alcohol. Most of the sober houses have very strict rules but there are some surprising facts about sober housing that you might not realize.

1. Sober Housing has Different Levels

There are different levels of sober housing, the first being a dormitory closely monitored style, all the way to sober living communities. The different degrees depend on how much help you need with your life skills and remaining sober.
